Museum collection: Nodes of past and future peoples through the indigenous culture / 野林厚志（大阪國立民族學博物館）

This talk will provide a brief introduction to the Taiwan collections of the National Museum of Ethnology (Minpaku) and explain how they have played a role in exhibitions and research.

Much of the collection consists of materials related to Taiwan indigenous peoples. These have not only been used for exhibitions at Minpaku, but also for international collaborative exhibitions in Taiwan and research into the craft production of the indigenous peoples.

I will talk about the potential of the museum’s collections to connect people from Taiwan and Japan, as well as from other countries and regions through past and future.
